Success in everything![i]
If you are like most people and would love for God to give you a guaranteed strategy for success, then look no further. God has given all believers two simple steps for guaranteed success in life.  If you do these steps faithfully, you will succeed in everything you do.

The first step is to meditate or reflect on God’s word day and night. This website will teach you how to do meditate. But knowing how to meditate is not the same thing as actually meditating day and night. Success comes from actually meditating day and night, not from knowing how to meditate.

The second step is that you obey or practice God’s commands which you learn through Bible reading, study and meditation. God himself speaking to Joshua about his law in the Bible said “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.”[ii] The Psalmist commends the person who obeys God’s commands, delights in God’s law, and “meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.” (Psalm 1:1-3)

With this, one has to ask, why aren’t many Christians living successful lives then? One reason is that we don’t obey. We think it is a waste of time. The truth is, everyone I know who meditates says their quiet time is the most important part of the day. You see, God will never lie. The few people that obey receive the pleasing and it is well worth the time. Another reason is that we define success differently from how God does.

[i] Note that success here is not limited to riches. Riches also are not precluded from success. The success of a product is defined by the maker of the product not by the product. As God’s creation, God determines what a successful life is for each of us. A successful life is a life lived according to God’s will for us. Jesus and the Apostle Paul had successful lives but they were riddled with suffering and torture.
