This is the nature of this world:
It is fleeting,
It fades away quickly.
Close an eye, then open it,
And a generation is gone.
Nescient souls lost,
And the stubborn wane.
Yet, the fear of Life eludes them.
In their bewilderment
They turn to themselves,
“We are Gods,” they say.
They peep into their empty souls
And find no answers,
Yet, the fear of Life eludes them.
One moment a soul is celebrated,
The next it is no more.
One moment a youth smiles,
The next she is stiff.
Everything evades their hold,
Yet, the fear of Life eludes them.
Birds fly into towers,
Men fall from the heavens,
Others disappear in the skies,
Terror reigns,
A tsunami here, a typhoon there,
Yet, the fear of Life eludes them,
Trust in this world is trust in the wind,
It fails, it misleads.
Folks, seek wisdom, seek peace.
Seek Life, who gives peace,
And your peace will reign forever.
