“But it doesn’t make any difference whether the negative or lying thoughts come from the world, the flesh, or the devil. We take every thought captive in obedience to Christ. We are not called to dispel the darkness—we are called to turn on the light.” Neil T. Anderson in The Bondage Breaker®
What is spiritual warfare?
“The primary battle is between the kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of God, between the Antichrist and the Christ, between the father of lies and the Spirit of truth; and we are in that battle whether we like it or not. The primary location of that battle is our minds. Either we believe the lies that keep us in bondage or we believe the truth that sets us free. So we define spiritual warfare as the battle for the mind. Our abilities to think, feel, and make decisions (our minds, emotions, and wills) are intricately linked together. They interact in many ways. Yet it is safe to say everything begins with the mind. Our thoughts about anything in life are what determine how we feel and how we act. It often appears that emotions are the determining factor, but emotions are only as valid as the truth on which they are based. They are very real and they may lead to significant action, but they all have their roots in what we think about” The Essential Guide to Spiritual Warfare: Learn to Use Spiritual Weapons; Keep Your Mind and Heart Strong in Christ; Recognize Satan’s Lies and Defend Your Loved Ones” by Neil T. “As believers in Christ, we do not fight for victory; we fight from victory. In Christ’s power, we are invincible.” Chip Ingram in The Invisible War.
“There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight.” C.S. Lewis, in Screwtape Letters.
“Intercessory prayer is pivotal and essential for corporate and individual deliverance—Ephesians 6:18–20.” Chip Ingram in The Invisible War.
“Intercessory prayer is our most powerful and strategic corporate weapon in spiritual warfare.” Chip Ingram in The Invisible War.
“The means by which believers are to withstand and overcome the attacks of the enemy in spiritual warfare is by consistent, intense, and strategic prayer for one another in conjunction with the personal application of the armor of God.” Chip Ingram in The Invisible War.
