“Much of the stress that people feel doesn’t come from having too much to do. It comes from not finishing what they’ve started.”
–David Allen
Starting and not finishing things, that is a huge source of stress. If you’re like me, David Allen’s quote above rings so true. There are many things that I’ve started but not completed. Even though I don’t realize it initially, starting and not finishing things slows me down. After a while, I start getting concerned that I’m not making progress. That affects attitude and faith in myself and my ability to succeed. All of that add pressure and stress!
This is where living a minimalist lifestyle is helping me. I’m intentionally focusing on a few things, doing them well, finishing them, and enjoying the pleasure and momentum that comes from small successes.
Do you have things that you’ve started and not finished?
That attitude may be a cause of stress in your life.
