The Parenthetical Citation (inline citation) is found in section 18.3 of the Turabian Manual. If you want to learn more about how to use it, please check there. However, here are two examples of how it is used.
- …of processes that take time” (LeDoux 2003, 116).
- …the eighteenth century (Pastoureau 2001, 124).
It is the author’s last name and publication year, then the page number, as shown above. This format always requires a bibliography at the bottom of the text. At Servants University, parenthetical citation may be used for discussion forums but not for assigned papers.
