Job Description
Summary of responsibilities:
The faculty member is responsible for creating and/or facilitating and evaluating the course, developing course syllabus and instructional materials, maintaining instructional records, implementing strategies for student retention, participating in activities to increase student enrollment and other duties which support the mission and initiatives of the University.  This position reports directly to the Academic Dean of Servants University.
Detailed Responsibilities:
- Promotes the University’s mission, values, and vision
- Teaches assigned courses online to meet program needs
- Evaluates student progress and provides appropriate feedback
- Develops course syllabus and provides appropriate written information to students concerning course evaluation and criteria
- Explores, assesses, and implements appropriate instructional technology to enhance student learning outcomes
- Carries out a program of self-evaluation to determine instructional effectiveness
- Assists in the evaluation of courses and programs
- Prepares and submits instructional records, reports, and grades established by institutional policy
- Attends appropriate university meetings
- Maintains contacts with business, industry, and professional organizations for the purpose of keeping instructional programs current with advances in the occupational or academic field
- Maintains appropriate office hours and accessibility for students, faculty, and staff
- Participates in professional development to enhance instructional and technical skills
- Performs other tasks as assigned which support the mission and initiatives of the University
- Actively participate in activities that increase student enrollment
Qualifications Required:Â Â
- Master’s Degree or higher
- Strong computer skills and commitment to the use of technology in instruction
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively and collegially with others in a team environment

Qualifications Preferred:Â Â
- Prior teaching experience at a college or university
- Experience with online instruction
