Prayer is how God has ordained for us to ask and receive things from him. When we pray, we have to believe that Everything is possible with God. How do we have faith that God can do everything?
It is not enough for God to promise something. Does he have the power and means to do what he promised? If he can, that helps us trust him all the more that he will deliver.

Meditate on the attributes of God: all-powerful, creator & owner of everything, all-knowing, sovereignty/majesty.
